Perhaps best known for the Quaglietta Castle, the hamlet of
Quaglietta is situated entirely within the community of Calabritto. Not all has
been confirmed about the origins of the castle, but it is thought to be a
Norman feudal fort from the 11th century.
Rising from a rocky spur, this mighty fortress bears historical witness to the
Lombard domination of the Irpinia region in medieval times.
